Life is full of a series of endings and new beginnings. "Change" they say, "is inevitable", and I must agree... Sometimes we find a path and begin a journey and enjoy every step of the way, and other times we struggle to take one more step. And then, there are the abrupt endings, mixing us up and sending us on a new undiscovered, and perhaps even uncontemplated journey. But lets face it, each new beginning is another chance to try out a new dream, a new idea, or a new interest.
I think one of the hardest things about starting over is that a lot of times, we don't understand why we have to? Why did the last journey end? Why do we have to be pushed off of the current path and maybe out of our comfort zone? And then there are the what ifs? What if I did this different? What if I said this or reacted like that or If? and we try to figure out the whys, and the what ifs, and hold onto the journey that we are leaving, rather than embrace the new journey that we are about to embark upon. Looking back, there were so many journeys I have taken through the years. Some wonderful and some not so, but as I ponder each (the ones I can remember anyway) I realize that the ones I welcomed, the ones I embraced, those were the best ones of all! It really didn't matter so much how they turned out, but mattered more if I was an active participant. And in the end, each of those journeys led me to where I am and who I am now... Some were Grand adventures, some were brief interludes, some were painful lessons learned, but all were important in the transformation of who I was becoming! We are but a mixture of the experiences that we have encountered. Left in one spot, doing the same thing regularly, we can only absorb so much, but opening a new door and daring to walk through, dreaming a new dream and spreading our wings to fly toward it, climbing up the next mountain to see the direction from the top, these are the things that form us, that empower us that make us who we are! Embrace the change! Invite the unexpected! Awaken the Possibilities! and Follow the Dreams! Life is a series of journeys, Enjoy the Trip! (with Love, To Rose)
